Anton Frederick Freiburg (son of Franz Joseph Freiburg), born 16 September and baptized 18 September 1843 at Allendorf, Westphalia, Germany(1); died 04 February 1913(5) at Quincy, Adams, Illinois, USA; married 01 August 1871 at Quincy to Catharina Agnes Laage who was born 26 March 1849(5) at Quincy and died 10 January 1906 aged 56 years, 09 months, 15 days(5)(also death records of St. John’s Church at Quincy) at Quincy.
After coming to the U.S. in 1865, he went to work for the cabinetmaker Franz Jasper; later he worked in the furniture factory of Frederick W. Jansen. He was Naturalized as a U.S. citizen on 07 November 1870 at Quincy.
In 1876, he and his brother Joseph bought Henry Brinkman’s funeral business. After selling his share of that business in 1892, Frederick managed the Menke & Grimm Planing Mill Company. They lived at 629 Oak Street, later he lived at 1031 North 12th Street in Quincy. They were members of St. John’s Church.

Lahan who was born 15 March 1862 in Illinois and died 07 October 1935 at Quincy. Frederick G. Freiburg, born 22 May 1880(8); died 08 July 1941 aged 61 years at Quincy (Death Certificate #000340); married 08 June 1915 at Quincy to Bertha R. Musholt (daughter of Joseph Musholt and Elizabeth ______) who was born 28 February 1893(6) in Melrose, Adams, Illinois and died 02 May 1977 at Fowler, Adams Illinois(6). He was an automobile painter; he also worked as a carriage finisher.
