Heinrich Klute (possibly son of Johannes Klute and Anna Maria Bodde), born 23 October 1775 at Allendorf, Kreis Arnsberg, Westphalia, Germany;  died 20 July 1876 at St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri, USA (Book 7, page 155);  married to Maria Franziska Honifer (or Honniver) who was born possibly at Serkenrode, Westphalia and apparently died before the 1850 U.S. census (possibly still in Germany).

He was a carpenter. He (they?) came to the U.S. about 1846.

He was a carpenter and cabinet-maker. They came to the U.S. on the ship Francis B. Elisabetha Klute, baptized 26 February 1845(1);  died (buried 15) January 1919 aged 73 years(5) at St. Louis;  married 1862-63 to Frederick Otte who was born about February 1830 in Germany and died (buried 05) April 1906 aged 76 years(5). Therese Klute, baptized 29 December 1848(1);  possibly died young [not on NYC passenger list].

Joseph Klute, born about 1858 in Missouri;  died (buried 08) March 1932 aged 73 years(5). He is buried at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery (Section 22, lot 039).

Johannes Caspar Klute, born 15 November and baptized 16 November 1815(1);  died 21 March 1901 at St. Louis (Book 41, page 557);  married 09 September 1845 at St. Louis (Book 3, page 215) to Margaretha Gerber who was born about November 1825? in Bavaria, Germany and died (buried 12) October 1920 aged 94 years at St. Louis(5). He was a locksmith; later a blacksmith and wagon-maker. He came to the U.S. on the ship Nimrod which sailed from Bremen and arrived at New Orleans on 19 November 1839. 1850 Census: Casp. Catharine Klute, born about November 1858;  died 28 March 1938;  married 1877-78 to William Peter Arnd who was born about December 1852 in Missouri. Christine Klute, born about December 1860;  married 1882-83 to Henry J. Bolte who was born about September 1853 in Missouri. John Klute, born 10 February 1852;  died 02 June 1935(5) at St. Louis;  married 1882-83 to Josephine Vitrey (daughter of August and Adeline Vitrey) who was born about November 1858 and died 15 February 1931(5). August Frederick Klute, born about January 1854;  died 15 January 1918 aged 63 years(5) at St. Louis;  married 1880-81 to Catherine ______ who was born about May 1859 in Illinois and died (buried 05) April 1922 aged 63 years(5). He owned a shoe store; later a grocery store. 1900 Census: August Klute, page 122, visit 157/258, St. Louis (E.D. 087), St. Louis, Missouri. 1910 Census: August F. Klute, page 250, visit 047/059, St. Louis (E.D. 216), St. Louis, Missouri. They are buried at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery (Section 12M, lot 004E). Maria Franziska Klute, baptized 14 April 1820(1);  died 29 March 1892 aged 71 years(5) at St. Louis (Book 27, page 075);  apparently married first to ______ Arnd;  married (second?) by 1850 to Frederick Maw who was born about 1814 in Germany and apparently died before the 1880 census. He was a carpenter. 1850 Census: Fr. Her known children, born at St. Louis:  Theresia Arnd (Maw?), born about 1846;  Josephine Arnd (Maw?), born about 1848;  Augusta Maw, born about 1853;  Frederick C. Maw, born about 1855, died (buried 03) December 1928 aged 73 years(5), married to Adeline ______ who was born about 1865 and died (buried 16) June 1942 aged 76 years(5), they are buried near his mother;  Emma Maw, born about 1857;  Lena Maw, born about 1859, died (buried 25) January 1915 aged 55 years(5), unmarried, buried with mother.

Maria Theresia Klute, baptized 14 February 1824(1);  died (buried 18) June 1902 aged “77” years at St. Louis(5);  married 13 January 1846 at St. Louis (Book 3, page 243) to John Stein who was born about 1821 in Bavaria and apparently died before the 1870 census.
