Heinrich Klute (possibly son of Johannes Klute and Anna Maria Bodde), born 23 October 1775 at Allendorf, Kreis Arnsberg, Westphalia, Germany;  died 20 July 1876 at St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri, USA (Book 7, page 155);  married to Maria Franziska Honifer (or Honniver) who was born possibly at Serkenrode, Westphalia, Germany and apparently died before the 1850 U.S. census (possibly while still in Germany).

He was a carpenter. He (they?) came to the U.S. about 1846.

He was a carpenter and cabinet-maker. They came to the U.S. on the ship Francis B. Elisabetha Klute, born 25 February and baptized 26 February 1845(1);  died 12 January 1919 aged 73 years, 10 months, 17 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #003588);  married 1862-63 to Frederick Otte who was born about February 1830 in Germany and died (buried 05) April 1906 aged 76 years(5). Johannes Caspar Klute, born 15 November and baptized 16 November 1815(1);  died 21 March 1901 aged 84 years, 04 months, 06 days at St. Louis (Book 41, page 557);  married 09 September 1845 at St. Louis (Book 3, page 215) to Margaretha Gerber (daughter of Joseph Gerber and Christina Haffner) who was born 01 November 1825 in Bavaria, Germany and died 12 October 1920(5) aged 94 years, 11 months, 11 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #032718). He was a locksmith; later he was a blacksmith and wagon-maker. He came to the U.S. on the ship Nimrod which sailed from Bremen and arrived at New Orleans on 19 November 1839. 1850 Census: Casp. Klute, born 02 November 1856;  died 31 March 1942 at St. Louis (Death Certificate #008527);  married 1884-85 to John Theodore Feager (son of Joseph Feager and Sophia Schwartz) who was born 03 September 1856 at St. Louis and died 06 December 1924 aged 68 years, 03 months, 03 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #036027). Catharine Klute, born 17 November 1858;  died 28 March 1938 aged 79 years, 04 months, 11 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #009409);  married 1877-78 to William Peter Arnd who was born about December 1852 in Missouri and died (buried 19 July) 1933(5). Arnd, born 04 October 1888(8), died September 1975, he was an auditor, 1920 Census: (single, with parents), he is buried with his parents.

Christine Klute, born about December 1860;  married 1882-83 to Henry J. Bolte who was born about September 1853 in Missouri. He was a “commission merchant”. 1880 Census: Christina Klute (with brother-in-law Henry Arnd, above). 1900 Census: Henry Bulte, page 239, visit 174/235, St. Louis (E.D. 160), St. Louis, Missouri. Child:  Jerome Bolte, born about October 1884, died June 1960.

Clara Klute, born 03 November 1868;  died 15 December 1954 at St. Louis (Death Certificate #043765);  married 1893-94 to William C. Lamping (son of August Lamping and Katherine Willon?) who was born 28 May 1867 at St. Louis and died 06 December 1920 at St. Louis (Death Certificate #038096). He was a grain broker; later he was a “credit man” for a packing company. 1910 Census: William C. John Klute, born 10 February 1852;  died 02 June 1935(5) at Valley Park, Jefferson, Missouri (Death Certificate #020182);  married 1882-83 to Josephine Vitrey (daughter of August and Adeline Vitrey) who was born 21 November 1852 in Illinois and died 14 February 1931 aged 78 years, 02 months, 23 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #007743). He owned a grocery store. 1900 Census: John Klute, page 107, visit 121/246, St. Louis (E.D. 086), St. Louis, Missouri. 1910 Census: John Klute, page 126, visit 022/035, St. Louis (E.D. 116), St. Louis, Missouri. They are buried at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery (Section 27, lot 068). Children:  Alice C. Klute, born about October 1884, died (buried 24 January) 1970(5), married to George W. August Frederick Klute, born 18 January 1854;  died 15 January 1918(5) aged 63 years, 11 months, 28 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #003186);  married 1880-81 to Catherine Zolk (daughter of Sebastian Zolk) who was born 29 March 1859 in Illinois and died 02 April 1922(5) aged 63 years, 03 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #013779). He owned a shoe store; later he owned a grocery store. 1900 Census: August Klute, page 122, visit 157/258, St. Louis (E.D. 087), St. Louis, Missouri. 1910 Census: August F. Klute, page 250, visit 047/059, St. Louis (E.D. 216), St. Louis, Missouri. They are buried at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery (Section 12M, lot 004E). They had six children, two of whom died before the 1900 census. Known children:  Albert S. Klute, born 07 June 1881(8), died 11 November 1934 at St. Louis (Death Certificate #040888), married to Emma A. Maria Franziska Klute, baptized 14 April 1820(1);  died 29 March 1892 aged 71 years(5) at St. Louis (Book 27, page 075);  apparently married first to ______ Arnd;  married (second?) by 1850 to Frederick Maw who was born about 1814 in Germany and apparently died before the 1880 census. He was a carpenter. 1850 Census: Fr. Mow, page 081, visit 912/1430, St. Louis (1st Ward), St. Louis, Missouri. 1860 Census: Fred Maw, page 104, visit 339/912, St. Louis (1st Ward), St. Louis, Missouri. 1880 Census: Frany Maw (widow), page 018, visit 012/040, St. Louis (E.D. 099), St. Louis, Missouri [Second Enumeration]. She is buried at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery (Section 09I, lot 008E). Her known children, born at St. Louis:  Theresia Arnd [?Maw], born about 1846;  Josephine Arnd [?Maw], born about 1848;  Augusta Maw, born about 1853;  Frederick C. Maw, born 12 March 1855, died 30 November 1928 aged 73 years, 08 months, 18 days at St. Louis (Death Certificate #039002), married to Adeline ______ who was born about 1865 and died (buried 16) June 1942 aged 76 years(5), he was a bookbinder, they are buried near his mother;  Emma Maw, born about 1857;  Lena Maw, born about 1859, died 22 January 1915 aged 55 years at St. Louis (Death Certificate #003103), unmarried, buried with mother.

Maria Theresia Klute, baptized 14 February 1824(1);  died (buried 18) June 1902 aged “77” years at St. Louis(5);  married 13 January 1846 at St. Louis (Book 3, page 243) to John Stein who was born about 1821 in Bavaria and apparently died before the 1870 census.
