Johannes Rüsche (son of Heinrich Rüsche and Margarette Bodde), born March 1791 at Allendorf, Kreis Arnsberg, Westphalia, Germany;  died 28 May 1834 at Allendorf(1);  married 29 August 1824(1) at Allendorf to Elisabeth Freiburg who was born November 1793 at Allendorf.

Maria Theresa Rüsche, born 20 June and baptized 21 June 1825(1).

+    Peter Rusche, born 13 October and baptized 14 October 1827(1).

Anna Maria Rüsche, baptized 05 April 1831(1);  died 13 November 1831 at Allendorf(1).

Heinrich Joseph Rüsche, twin, born 10 July and baptized 11 July 1832(1);  died 18 February 1833 at Allendorf(1).

Peter Rusche, born 13 October and baptized 14 October 1827 at Allendorf, Kreis Arnsberg, Westphalia, Germany(1);  died 16 May 1883 at St. Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA;  married 1859 at St. Paul to Elizabeth Probst who was born January 1823 at Oberkail, Rheinland Pfalz, Germany and died 15 May 1909 at St. Paul (Death Certificate #1909-019352).

[She was the daughter of Johann Peter Probst (son of Matthias Probst and Anna Maria Densborn) and Anna Maria Hahn (daughter of Jacob Hahn and Anna Becker) who were married 04 December 1808 at Oberkail.]

He was a carpenter and joiner; later he owned a grocery store. He came to the U.S. with his first cousin Anna Mary Freiburg on the ship Maryland which sailed from Bremen and arrived in Baltimore on 24 May 1854. [NOTE: He is found in the Minnesota Naturalization Records Index: Reel 5, Code 7, Volume E, page 204; not looked up yet.]

They were living at 37 Mississippi Street in St. Paul in 1880.

He was a clerk at Booth Fisheries at St. Paul(8); later he was a mail carrier. He was a WWI veteran. 1930 Census: Albert G. Rusche, page 014, visit 183/300, St. Paul (E.D. 78), Ramsey, Minnesota. Known children:  Louis Rusche, born about 1920;  Richard C. Rusche, born 23 January 1922, died 23 February 1991 in Anoka County, Minnesota;  Rita Rusche, born about June 1926;  Jerome Rusche, born about June 1928.

Carl Joseph Rusche, born 02 August 1890(6)(8);  died 27 January 1987 at Tampa, Hillsborough, Florida(6);  married about 1923 at St. Paul to Marie L. Ventura (possibly her second marriage)(daughter of John and Clara Ventura) who was born 28 August 1893(6) in Minnesota and died 08 March 1981 at Tampa(6). He was a salesman for Purity Bread Company at St. Paul(8); later a driver for a laundry company. 1930 Census: Carl J. Rusche, page 243, visit 385/394, St. Paul (E.D. 163), Ramsey, Minnesota. No children with them in 1930.

Mary K. Rusche, born about May 1861;  died 14 April 1952 at St. Paul (Death Certificate #1952-025641);  married 1885-86 at St. Paul to Joseph Posch (son of Joseph and Elizabeth Posch) who was born about August 1857 in Austria and died 17 July 1935 at St. Paul (Death Certificate #1935-024879). He was a coppersmith; later he owned a brass goods factory. Edmund Hugo Posch, born 10 December 1887 [although WWI draft registration says 1888(8)];  died 24 February 1960 at St. Paul (Death Certificate #1960-028608);  married to Irma M. ______ who was born 25 December 1890(6) and died 02 November 1982 at St. Paul(6)(also Death Certificate #1982-027775). He was a shipping clerk(8).

Delores M. Posch, born 16 October 1892(6);  died 30 November 1966 at St. Paul(6)(also Death Certificate #1966-030469);  unmarried. 1930 Census: (single, with parents).

Possibly Frances Posch, died young.

Eleanor R. J. Posch, born 01 September 1898(6);  died 21 January 1986 at Hastings, Dakota, Minnesota(6)(also Death Certificate #1986-003178);  unmarried. 1930 Census: (single, with parents).

Margaret Rusche, born about May 1863;  died 03 January 1941 at St. Paul (Death Certificate #1941-023484);  unmarried. 1930 Census: Margaret Rusche (single), page 006, visit 093/129, St. Paul (E.D. 78), Ramsey, Minnesota.
