Gunsallus (daughter of James Gunsallus and Rachel Masden) who was born about 1821 in Howard, Centre, Pennsylvania and apparently died after the 1850 U.S. census; married second before the 1856 Iowa State Census to Mary F. Jacobs who was born 1821₍₁₄₎ in Pennsylvania and died 04 January 1885₍₁₄₎.

He was a stonemason. He moved to Iowa about 1855 (from 1856 census).
