Levi5 Orner (John4, Jacob3, felix2, Ulrich1), born 04 May 1819(14) in Bald Eagle, Centre (now Clinton), Pennsylvania;  died 04 May 1877(14) in Lester, Black Hawk, Iowa;  married first 21 February 1841 in Centre County, Pennsylvania to Mary I. Gunsallus (daughter of James Gunsallus and Rachel Masden) who was born about 1821 in Howard, Centre, Pennsylvania and apparently died after the 1850 census;  married second by 1856 to Mary F. Jacobs who was born 1821(14) in Pennsylvania and died 04 January 1885(14).

He was a stonemason. He moved to Iowa about 1855 (from 1856 census).

Ralph Donald8 Orner, born 30 April 1916(17)(36);  died 19 March 1988 at Chico, Butte, California(17)(36);  married 1936 to Beryl Bernice Box who was born 27 August 1916(17) and died 23 July 2002 at Redding, Shasta, California(17). He is buried at Stirling City Cemetery (Row 19, plot 08). They had five children. [Info from descendant Lance Orner.]

(Master Sergeant) Raymond Berthal8 Orner, born 28 July 1920. He served in the 15th Weather Squadron in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was missing (presumed killed) in action 24 January 1946 during WWII; he is memorialized at Manila American Cemetery at Manila, Philippines [reference 1 (from the National Archives)(external link), which shows his Service Number as 06578567; reference 2 (from American Battle Monuments Commission)(external link), which shows his Service Number as 06578587].

Melbourne Earle8 Orner, born 11 April 1926;  married to Elizabeth A. ______ who was born about 1931. He was a WWII veteran (Army SN: 19041050).

Mary Mildred7 Orner, born 10 January 1892(14);  died 20 May 1901(14);  buried at Grandview Cemetery in Long Pine, Brown, Nebraska.

Harry White7 Orner, born 23 October 1893(17) in Brown County, Nebraska(40);  died 22 July 1967(14) at Corvallis(17)(also Death Certificate #67-9470);  married 16 September 1924 at Corvallis (Marriage Notice in Corvallis Gazette-Times) to Ellen Louise Jackman (daughter of W. H. Jackman and Mary Shoemaker) who was born 01 July 1900(17) in Delta, Whatcom, Washington and died 15 November 1981(14)(17) at Corvallis (Death Certificate #81-18164). He was a butcher. He was a WWI veteran; he registered for the Draft at Corvallis [prior service: 1 year in Oregon National Guard; exemption claimed: “failed in physical exam, O.N.G.”]. She was an Associate Professor at Oregon State University. Alice Lola7 Orner, born 20 November 1897(14);  died 15 July 1916(14) at Corvallis;  married 06 November 1915 in Benton County (Book 8, page 191) to Marvin Jordan (son of Frank and Lena Jordan) who was born 10 February 1892(14)(40) in Oregon and died 11 May 1946(14) at Portland, Multnomah, Oregon (Death Certificate #1628). He was a teacher. He was a military veteran (American Legion emblem on gravestone). [He may have been married second to a Hazel ______.] Alice and Marvin are buried at Crystal Lake Cemetery (Lot 404) at Corvallis.

Mabel Vesta7 Orner, born 03 August 1900(17);  died January 1974 at Gold Beach, Curry, Oregon(17);  married 26 April 1922 in Benton County (Book 8, page 616) to Wilbur Wesley Ostrander (possibly son of John Ostrander) who was born 18 July 1900(40)(but SSDI says 1899(17)) and died February 1964 in Oregon(17). He was a truck driver. He registered for the WWI Draft at Gold Beach.

Leta May7 Orner, born 29 March 1904(17);  died 31 October 1989 at Corvallis(17)(also Death Certificate #89-20521);  married first 24 June 1928 in Benton County (Book 9, page 488) to Harold S. Harbour who was born 1894(14) in Illinois and died 24 February 1959(14) at Corvallis (Death Certificate #1405);  married second to Jack Clarke who was born 20 January 1903(17) and died 20 September 1982 at Corvallis(17)(also Death Certificate #82-14375). Phillip Frank7 Orner, born 05 July 1908(14)(17) at Boise;  died 16 June 1971(14)(17) at Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho (Idaho Falls Post-Register, issues of 16 and 23 June 1971);  presumably the Frank Orner (resident of Downey, Bannock, Idaho) married 03 November 1928 at Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho (Book 4, page 332) to Genevieve Higgins;  married (second?) 23 November 1936 at Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho (Book 2, page 129) to Uteave Quinton (daughter of Albert Henry Quinton and Mary Ann Colby) who was born 09 February 1921(14)(17) at Woodville, Bingham, Idaho and died 19 September 1988(14)(17) at Idaho Falls (Idaho Falls Post-Register, issue of 21 September 1988). They were living at Stockton, San Joaquin, California in 1957. They later lived at Ucon, Bonneville, Idaho; he worked for the Idaho Falls Sanitation Department. Frank and Uteave are buried at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery at Idaho Falls, (their gravestone, external link).
