Levi D.6 Arner, born 1828(14) in Avon, Livingston, New York;  died 1873(14) in Avon;  married probably after the 1850 census to Euphemia Dailey(14) (daughter of Thomas and Lydia Dailey) who was born 1833(14) and died 1913(14). Arner, page 008, visit 114/111, Avon, Livingston, New York. 1880 Census: Euphema Arner (widow, with parents), page 031, visit 183/202, Avon, Livingston, New York. They are buried at East Avon Cemetery in Avon. His will (Livingston Will Book 9, page 457), not looked up yet.

(Doctor) Thomas6 Arner, born 19 July 1830 in Avon, Livingston, New York;  died 22 February 1865 aged 34 years(14) at Rochester, Monroe, New York;  married 29 June 1859 at Rochester to Theodosia Cook (daughter of Ira Cook and Louisa P. Church) who was born 28 April 1832(14) in Byron, Genesee, New York and died 29 June 1876(14) at San Rafael, Marin, California. [Her ancestry is on Dave Clark’s website.] Civil War service: Assistant Surgeon in 108th New York Infantry Regiment. She was the first editor of the Hospital Review (Rochester City Hospital), from 1865 to 1871. Louise Cook7 Arner, born 08 June 1861;  died 01 October 1919 at San Francisco, San Francisco, California;  married 25 April 1883 to John Franklin Boyd who was born 20 October 1842 in Chester, Delaware, Pennsylvania and died 03 May 1920 at San Francisco. He was president of the Boyd Investment Company at San Francisco. 1880 Census: Louise Arner (with grandfather Ira Cook), page 114, visit 250/282, San Rafael, Marin, California. 1900 Census: John F. Boyd, page 155, visit 398/402, San Rafael city, Marin, California. [Louise was DAR member #19613.] Children, born in California:  Seth Cook Boyd, born 01 August 1884, died 17 August 1901;  John Franklin Boyd, born 21 May 1886, died 28 April 1902;  Louise Arner Boyd, born 16 September 1887, died 14 September 1972 at San Francisco, she was president of the Boyd Investment Company (succeeding her father), she was an American explorer of the Arctic Ocean and was the first woman to fly over the North Pole, [NOTE: Louise Boyds Land on the northeast coast of Greenland was named after her], [photo of Louise Arner Boyd].

Edward C.6 Arner, born 01 June 1832(14) in Avon, Livingston, New York;  died 11 January 1884 aged 52 years, 07 months, 10 days(14) in Avon;  married 1873 in Avon to Harriet Anne Dana(14) (daughter of Federal Dana and Laura Gibbs) who was born 04 December 1839(14) in Avon and died 25 July 1885 aged 45 years, 07 months, 21 days(14). He was a carpenter and joiner; he was also a house builder. [Her ancestry is in The Dana Family In America, Elizabeth Ellery Dana, privately published, Cambridge. Henry Dana7 Arner, born 11 August 1874(14)(40);  died 1930(14);  apparently unmarried. He was a gardener. He registered for the WWI Draft in Monroe County (Mary Arner listed as nearest relative). 1900 Census: Henry D. Arner (single, with aunt Mary Arner, below), page 206, visit 256/265, Rush, Monroe, New York. 1910 Census: Henry Arner (single, with aunt Mary Arner), page 141, visit 328/328, Rush, Monroe, New York. 1920 Census: Henry Arner (single), page 178, visit 065/065, Rush, Monroe, New York. [NOTE: However, the Dana genealogy shows him as having had “seven children”, including a Clinton Edward Arner born 31 July 1904 in “Brooks, N. Y.”; but with no further info or sources.] He is buried at East Avon Cemetery.

Samuel6 Arner, born about 1837;  died 13 August 1844 aged 07 years(14);  buried near his father.

Mary6 Arner, born 1839(14) in Rush, Monroe, New York;  died 1918(14);  unmarried. Julia E.6 Arner, born about 11 September 1843 in Rush, Monroe, New York;  died 28 June 1865 aged 21 years, 09 months, 17 days(14);  unmarried. She is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Rochester, Monroe, New York, near her brother Thomas [above].
