He was a farmer. On 29 November 1823, he was on the list of communicants of the Reformed congregation of Christ Union Church in Lower Saucon, Northampton, Pennsylvania. They moved to Keeler, Van Buren, Michigan about 1840-41 (from various Van Buren County Histories).
