Mary Catherine6 Usher, born 15 February 1835 in New York;  died 07 October 1916 at Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, California;  married 06 February 1857 in Independence to William Henry Ely (son of James Gould Ely and Fanny Hunt) who was born 21 September 1828 in Rome, Oneida, New York and died 25 June 1909 at Santa Cruz. He owned a feed store. He later owned the East Santa Cruz Railway. Mendora Catherine7 Ely, born 25 February 1862;  died 24 September 1928;  married 09 September 1879 at Santa Cruz to Albert L.
