Felix3 Orner (felix2, Ulrich1), born 31 December 1764(14) in Whitehall, Northampton (now North Whitehall, Lehigh), Pennsylvania;  died 17 September 1851 aged 86 years, 08 months, 17 days (The Adams Sentinel, issue of 22 September 1851)(but gravestone says 16 September 1851 aged 86 years, 08 months, 16 days(14)) in Menallen, Adams, Pennsylvania;  married about 1786-87 in Menallen to Juliana Becker (daughter of Michael Becker) who was born about 28 December 1766 and died 26 January 1837 aged 70 years, 29 days(44)(but gravestone says 25 January(14)) in Menallen.

He was a carpenter. He moved to Menallen, York (now Butler, Adams), Pennsylvania in 1785 with a group of settlers from Heidelberg and Whitehall, including his sister and brother-in-law Elizabetha and Daniel Rex. In 1799, he appeared on the Menallen Tax List as “Felix Orna, joiner”. [NOTE: A joiner is a fine-work carpenter, such as a cabinet maker and/or a furniture maker.]

He submitted a certificate with the pension application of Daniel Rex on 02 October 1832 (National Archives File #8.4066) which confirms that he was the Felix “Armer” on the Muster Roll of the 8th Company, 2nd Battalion, Northampton County Militia on 18 January 1777 (PA:5:8:117)(C). If the listed birthdate is correct, he would have been only 12 years old at that time. However, there are other known instances of boys that young serving in the Revolutionary War.

His will (Adams Will File #2936) which was proved 23 September 1851, mentions sons Henry, George, Daniel and David; “[unnamed] children of son Felix”; “[unnamed] grandchildren issue of daughter Polly with George Fohl”; grandson John son of Jacob deceased; son William; and daughter Susana deceased with Michael Beamer. They are buried at Fairview Cemetery at Arendtsville, Adams, Pennsylvania.

Maria Magdalena4 Orner, born 06 July and christened 10 November 1805 (Sponsors: Johannes and Betsy Maurer)(6);  died about 1832-34;  married 05 June 1828 (The Republican Compiler, issue of 18 June 1828) to GEORGE FOHL.
