C. Ashmore and Margaret Lovelace) who was born 04 February 1836 in Ashmore, Coles, Illinois and died 12 April 1865 at Jamestown, Grant, Wisconsin; married second (or third?) 29 July 1866 in Lafayette County, Wisconsin (Book 1, page 323₍₂₂₎) to Maria C. She came with her parents, John and Sarah Gilchrist, to Noble County in 1840 and in 1850 she married Isaac Orner. They had one daughter, who with 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, survive. Obsequies were at the Rehoboth Church October 9. Burial, Rehoboth Cemetery.”]

She had at least four children with her first husband (from her mother’s obituary).
