C. Ashmore and Margaret Lovelace) who was born 04 February 1836 in Ashmore, Coles, Illinois and died 12 April 1865 at Jamestown, Grant, Wisconsin; married second (or third?) 29 July 1866 in Lafayette County, Wisconsin (Book 1, page 323(22)) to Maria C. She came with her parents, John and Sarah Gilchrist, to Noble County in 1840 and in 1850 she married Isaac Orner. They had one daughter, who with 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, survive. Obsequies were at the Rehoboth Church October 9. Burial, Rehoboth Cemetery.”]

She had at least four children with her first husband (from her mother’s obituary).
