Lorenia5 Aurner (JACOB4, Heinrich3, HEINRICH2, Ulrich1), born 17 March 1842(14) probably in Ohio (but most censuses say New York);  died 31 August 1937(14) at Mitchell, Davison, South Dakota (Death Certificate #177542)(gravestone);  married first after the 1860 census to Thomas J. Burchfield who was killed in action 03 January 1863 at South Tunnel, Tennessee during the Civil War;  married second 01 January 1867 in DeKalb County, Illinois (Book C, page 200) to (Corporal) Luther Colvin (son of Ira Colvin and Huldah Starkweather, both buried at Little Red School House Cemetery in Kingston, DeKalb, Illinois, see NOTE) who was born 13 April 1833(14) in Hamburg, Erie, New York and died 27 December 1906(14) in Brule County, South Dakota (gravestone).

Thomas served in Company C, 105th Illinois Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He enlisted 11 August 1862 [residence: Kingston, Illinois]. She received a widow’s pension (Certificate #68465), Application #113952 filed 25 (or 28) April 1865.

Luther was a farmer. He served in Company H, 8th Iowa Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, [residence Oskaloosa, Iowa at enlistment on 12 August 1861]; he was wounded 06 April 1862 at Shiloh, Tennessee. He received an invalid pension (Certificate #236330), application #428581 filed 11 June 1880? in Iowa. She apparently received another widow’s pension (Certificate #754033), application #868894 filed 04 May 1907 in South Dakota.

He is probably the Clarence Colvin who bought government land in Jones County, South Dakota and received a patent on 09 November 1908 (the patent, external link).
