Known children: Malcolm A. Allen, born 08 April 1901₍₁₇₎ in Missouri, died August 1975 at Pittsburg₍₁₇₎; Stella Margaret Allen, born 10 August 1902.

Matilda⁵ Arner, twin, born 16 October 1879; married 02 January 1901 in Crawford County, Kansas to William Joseph Branstetter (son of Henry Clay Branstetter and Nancy J. Peveler) who was born about May 1871 in Missouri. She was a schoolteacher. He was the foreman of a railroad roundhouse. 1900 Census: Mattie Arner and William Branstetter (both single, with her mother). 1920 Census: Wm. J. Branstetter, page 214, visit 231/272, Pittsburg (3^rd Ward), Crawford, Kansas. 1930 Census: William J. Branstetter, page 083, visit 063/063, Columbus (4^th Ward), Cherokee, Kansas. [Some info from Branstetter researcher Paul D. Branstetter.] Known child: Neil Val Branstetter, born 19 November 1902₍₁₇₎ in Kansas, died 15 March 1972 in Maryland₍₁₇₎, he was a high school teacher, 1930 Census: (single, with parents).
