History of the Little White Church [on “Cemeteries of Carbon County” website].
First church building erected 1844 by a new congregation sympathetic to the views
of the Evangelical Church Association.
Second (and current) church building erected 1853.
Later known as Snyder’s Evangelical Church into the 1930s.
Building later used by other congregations, but mostly vacant.
Building restored by the Lehigh Gap Historical Society in the 1990s.
[Future plans include a possible museum in the church building.]
