(Lieutenant) Christian Krumm (son of PAULUS KRUM), born 20 August 1738 at Pfuhl (Bad Marienberg), Hesse-Nassau, Germany;  died about 1811 in Heidelberg, Northampton (now Lehigh), Pennsylvania;  married in Pennsylvania to Anna Maria Neff who was born about 1745 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania and died 1798 in Heidelberg.

[She was the daughter of Hans Ulrich Näff, baptized 25 July 1709 at Zell, Zurich, Switzerland, and Elisabeth ______. They arrived at Philadelphia 07 February 1739 on the ship Jamaica Galley.]

Christian was a member of the group who built the second Heidelberg Church in 1757(F). He was on the muster roll of the 7th (Captain George Smether’s) Company, 6th Battalion, Northampton Militia on 26 October and 15 November 1780; and of Captain William Myers’ Company in 1781, as a substitute for Peter Frise (PA:5:8:453, 466, 597, 606)(C). He received pay for services in the Revolutionary War (PA:5:4:648)(C).

His estate (Northampton Will File #2780); Letters of Administration filed 1811. She is buried at Heidelberg Church in Heidelberg.

Christian Krum, probably born about 1774-75;  died July-August 1830 in Towamensing, Northampton (now Franklin, Carbon), Pennsylvania;  married in Heidelberg to Catharina Missemer (from son Henry’s gravestone) who was born 30 March 1771(14) in Pennsylvania and died 11 March 1859 aged 87 years, 11 months, 11 days(14). They are buried at St. Paul’s Union Church at Big Creek, Carbon, Pennsylvania (Section C, row 19), but the dates are not readable on his gravestone. His will (Northampton Will File #4084), which was signed 08 July 1830 and probated 16 August 1830, mentions wife Catharina, son Christian, and “my [unnamed other] children”. Known children:

Peter Krum, born 02 March 1814(14);  died 05 October 1888 aged 74 years, 07 months, 03 days(14);  apparently married first to Caroline ______ who was born about 1826 in Pennsylvania;  married [second?] to SALINDA DREISBACH who was born 25 March and christened 19 April 1824 (Sponsors: Peter Sold and Maria Hausknecht)(18) in Towamensing, and died 13 June 1897 aged 73 years, 02 months, 19 days(14).
