Mary Jane5 Arner (John W.4, probably Leonard3, HEINRICH2, Ulrich1), born about 1856 in Arkansas; died [? 15 June] 1885 probably in St. Joe, Searcy, Arkansas; married about 1872 in Searcy County to John Washington Delk who was born 08 June 1852 in Wayne County, Tennessee and died 16 October 1943 at Mountain View, Kiowa, Oklahoma.
[He was the son of George Washington Delk (son of George Washington Delk and Lydia ______, both born in North Carolina) who was born about 1830 in Tennessee, and Mary Jane Allbritton who was born about 1829 in Tennessee. NOTE: In 1870, his family was living next door to the family of John Alfred McEntire (page 060, Tomahawk, Searcy, Arkansas) whose son John William Champion McEntire later married Mary Jane’s sister Martha F.5 Arner.]
He was a farmer. He homesteaded government land in Searcy County and received a patent 20 October 1882 (the patent).
