Ignac Erner, born about February 1824 in German Poland;  married 1859-60 to Mary [?Brandt] who was born about 1835 in German Poland.

He was a farmer. They probably come to the U.S. about 1880-82 [or about 1884-85 (from son? Joseph’s census entries)].

They had seven children, two of whom died before the 1900 census. Known children:

Catherine Erner, born about November 1867 in Germany;  apparently died before the 1910 census;  married 1892-93 to Joseph Maletz who was born about May 1865 in Austrian Poland. Mary Maletz, born about June 1895;  possibly married to Stanley Good.

Joseph Maletz, born 20 October 1896(3) [or about October 1897 (1900 census)]. 1910 Census: (with father). 1920 Census: (with father).

John Maletz, born about May 1899.

Annie Erner, born about 1878 probably in Silesia, Germany (now in Poland);  married 1902-03 to John Granskie (originally Jan Graniczkowski) who was born about 1881 in Austria or Poland. [Info from descendant Glenn Domitrowski.] He was a blacksmith. He came to the U.S. in 1901. 1910 Census: John Granskie, page 212, visit 488/581, Bound Brook (2nd Ward), Somerset, New Jersey. Known children, born in New Jersey:

Helen Granskie, born about 1903.

John G. Granskie, born 15 October 1905(1);  died 22 March 2003 at Raritan, Somerset, New Jersey(1);  married about 1925 to Katherine Fialka (daughter of Albert and Mary Fialka, both born in Slovakia) who was born 16 October 1904(1) at Raritan and died July 1986 at Raritan(1). He was an automobile mechanic. 1930 Census: John G. Granskie, page 122, visit 088/107, Raritan town, Somerset, New Jersey. Known children:  Doris Granskie, born about July 1927;  Bernardine Granskie, born 19 September 1928(1), died May 1971 at Raritan(1), unmarried;  John Granskie, born about December 1929;  possibly Dorothy Granskie, married to John Stack (son of John and Anna Stack) who was born 01 August 1926(1) and died 05 March 1991 in Bridgewater(1).

Joseph Erner, born 19 January 1873(3) in German Poland;  married 1895-96 in New Jersey to Anna Josephine Mayer who was born about 1877-78 in German Poland.

He was a foreman at a tool works (1910 census); later a locomotive engineer at Calico Chemical Company at Bound Brook, Somerset, New Jersey(3); later a stationary engineer (1920 and 1930 censuses). He registered for the WWI Draft at Plainfield, Union, New Jersey [“Citizen by Father’s Naturalization before Registrant’s Majority”(3)]. She came to the U.S. in 1886 (1910 census) or 1884 (1930 census).

Joseph Erner, born about 1899. He was a machinist.

Sophie Erner, born about 1901;  married 1925-26 to ______ Dixon, apparently later divorced. 1930 Census: Sophie Dixon (divorced, with parents).

Josephine Erner, born about 1904.

John Edward Earner, born 14 April 1914(1)(2);  died 10 April 1983(1) at Hemet, Riverside, California(2);  married after the 1930 census to Dorothy Conrad (daughter of Perry Luther Conrad and Eliza Rondola Underwood) who was born in Missouri.
