[She was the daughter of John and Anna Katherine Bergenhoff. The will of John Bergenhoff, husbandman of Philadelphia County (Philadelphia Will Book M, #283), which was signed in 1757 and proved 25 March 1763, mentions wife Anna Katherine and children Margaret Orner and Nicholas Bergenhoff.]
They moved to the East Part of Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he appears on the Tax Lists by 1769 (PA:3:14:113)(B). On the 1774 Tax List, he is shown as “Hermanus Oner, doctor” (PA:3:14:395)(B).
On 30 September 1753(1), Margaretha was a baptismal sponsor for William, son of John and Anna Bergenhoff. On 28 June 1763(3), “Herrmann Orner and wife Margretha” were witnesses to the marriage of Friedrich Schwartz and Rebecca Davis.
