Anton Ohrner, born 1826(MO) in Bavaria, Germany; died 11 February 1894 aged 67 years(6) at Melville, Foster, North Dakota; married June 1855 at Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario, Canada by Rev. Binderman, Lutheran minister(OD) to Bertha _______ who was born 27 February 1841(MO) in Saxony, Germany and died 11 August 1907(MO), possibly later divorced.
He was a drayman and ice hauler; he built and owned an ice house at Jefferson, Jefferson, Wisconsin. He came to North America in 1852(MO); she came to the U.S. in 1853 [presumably with her parents](from 1900 census). He may be the Antony Ohrner in the 1857-1858 Milwaukee [Wisconsin] City Directory, published by King, Jermain & Company.
Bertha filed for divorce 20 January 1882 in Jefferson County(OD), and Anton moved away a few weeks later. Apparently they later reconciled (see 1885 census, below).
