and a gilder in a watch factory [American W. W. Company, later W. W. & C.
Company]; later he was a watchmaker. He came to the U.S. in 1885 (from all
censuses); she came to the U.S. in 1883 (1910 census) or 1885 (1900 census).

He was foreman of a dairy; later he was an insurance agent at Boston for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company(12). He registered for the WWI Draft at Brighton, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Gustaf Oscar Orner, born 04 April 1888(7)(9)(12); died 30 March 1977 at Waltham (Death Certificate #1977-020240)[although SSDI says April 1977(7)]; married 1921-22 to Marjorie J. ______ who was born 04 June 1902 (but SSDI says 1903(7)) in Canada and died 17 February 1991 at Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts(7)(also Death Certificate #1991-020369), later divorced. He was a motion picture operator; later a painter. He and partner Howard W. Cole were proprietors of the Colonial Theater at Lowell, Massachusetts circa 1917 (City Directory). Orner, born about 1923; Betty L. Orner, born about 1924, she was a bookkeeper at a bank.

Ethel M. Orner, born 12 October 1897(7); died 11 December 1984 at Westlake, Cuyahoga, Ohio(7)(also Death Certificate #088707, Volume 25858); never married. She was a store clerk. 1930 Census: (single, with brother-in-law Stanley Allen, just above).
