(Reverend) Jonas4 Urner (Martin3, Jacob2, Ulrich1), born 26 December 1772(9) in Coventry (now North Coventry), Chester, Pennsylvania; died 14 May 1813 aged 40 years, 04 months, 18 days(9) at Pipe Creek, Frederick (now Carroll), Maryland; married to Hannah5 Rinehart who was born 31 August 1771 and died 13 August 1845 aged 73 years, 11 months, 13 days(9) at Pipe Creek(F).
He inherited his father’s Belwood farm(F). He was the third Elder of the Coventry Church of the Brethren, succeeding his father in 1799 and serving until 1810 when he sold the farm to Rudolph Stauffer/Stover. He is probably the Jonas Urner of Pennsylvania who bought land in Warren County, Ohio on 29 October 1805.
He bought a farm on or near Sam’s Creek(E) in Frederick (now Carroll) County, Maryland. He served as the presiding Elder of the Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren from 1811 until he died in the typhus epidemic of 1813(F). They are buried at Wolf’s Cemetery on Quaker Hill Road south of Union Bridge, Carroll, Maryland near the Pipe Creek Church which is two miles northwest of New Windsor.
